| Who Will Win The AFC? |
|
NFL bett Over the offseason, no team did more to improve itself than the New York Jets. Whether it was signing key free agents or drafting good depth role players, the Jets did it all. With sophomore quarterback Mark Sanchez coming off knee surgery this offseason, we see the Jets possibly using veteran Mark Brunell quite often in the early going. Regardless of how many snaps Brunell takes this year, everyone knows that when push comes to shove it is Sanchez that will be leading the Jets to the Promised Land. Presently, the Jets are in a heated contract dispute with star cornerback Darrell Revis. With or without Revis, the Jets have enough depth to make it all the way to the Super Bowl as the AFC representative. Although Revis ego is getting in the way, we still believe by the start of the season, he will be the starting corner back in New York. On the offensive side of things, the Jets were able to make one of the biggest steals in the history of professional sports. At the June draft, they acquired Santonio Holmes for the highway robbery of two late round draft picks. As a former Super Bowl MVP, Holmes instantly becomes Sanchez go to guy when airing out the ball. With Braylon Edwards on the other side, Sanchez has two viable threats when going deep. As well, after the brutal exit from San Diego, look for LaDainian Tomlinson to possibly steal the number one running back job from the younger Shonn Greene. If the Jets can click, look for them to win the AFC. |
