NFL Betting Picks – Jets Should Keep It Close In New England

A lot of NFL fans are wondering what is wrong with the New York Jets, who haven’t looked good on either side of the ball over the last couple of weeks, and they’re facing a massive trip to New England to face their biggest rivals. Can the Jets stop the bleeding and show they’re still a threat in the AFC?

Jets Patriots Odds – Sunday, 4:15 PM ET

Mark Sanchez had an awful night in a 34-17 loss by the Jets (2-2) in Baltimore as he had a pick and three lost fumbles on the day, although to be fair, it wasn’t all his fault. Most pay head players know that a quarterback is only as good as his line and Sanchez spent most of the night on the run while the Ravens ran back three of his turnovers for touchdowns.

The Patriots (3-1) recovered from a loss in Buffalo by beating Oakland 31-19 on the road, and the Tom Brady/Wes Welker duo continues to light up the league, combining nine times for 158 yards and a score. The defense, which is ranked last in the league, gave up 509 yards, but they forced a couple of turnovers, including a late pick.

New England is favored by six points at home, and they split a pair in Foxborough against the Jets last year; a 45-3 trouncing in Week 13, followed by a 28-21 loss in the playoffs. This game will be similar to the second meeting of 2010 between the two, and while the Jets probably won’t win, they’ll keep the Patriots from covering at your favorite online betting sites.
