NFL Betting – Packers Looking Good To Repeat As Early Super Bowl Favorites

While the San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions have made for good storylines early on this season, their “Cinderella” starts cannot compare to what the defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers have done with six straight wins out of the gate. That Packers have the best point differential in the NHL with a plus-83 margin, and they have won each game they have played by at least seven points with their strongest sports betting challenge perhaps at their own undoing back in week two when they nearly coughed one up against Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers in a 30-23 win.

That game may have been a turning point early on in the season even though it wasn’t a Green Bay loss, as the team has dominated each game that they have played since, including wins on the road against both the division rival Chicago Bears and the Atlanta Falcons. With the road through the NFC already almost cleared, the Packers should have a good shot at getting back to the big game and defending their title. Listed at 5-2 pay head odds to repeat as Super Bowl champions, it could take a challenger from the AFC to knock them off. The Baltimore Ravens have won four of their first five games, while the New England Patriots are 5-1, but neither team is as complete as Green Bay. The Patriots’ defense is still at least a year away from being a top-10 unit, while the Ravens still haven’t put things together completely on offense. With Aaron Rodgers under center and Charles Woodson leading the intertops defense, Green Bay is looking good as an early Super Bowl favorite.
